Joshua Doak
I have always been drawn to the art of photo & videography starting when I was a child making stop motion films in my basement. That passion grew into making YouTube videos. I started to take photography classes at 12 years old and stayed in them for 4 years. Capturing a beautiful moment in real time and sharing those experiences is so fulfilling to me, that is why my goal is to always deliver nothing but the best quality and overall stress-free experience to my clients. I hope we can work together soon!
My Story
In my senior year of high school, I felt a deep urge to pursue something beyond the conventional job path. I embarked on a journey of exploration and experimentation, encountering setbacks and failures along the way. Eventually, I stumbled upon video editing, a realm in which I had some prior experience.
As my sister's wedding approached, I saw an opportunity to capture moments of the joyous occasion, both as a portfolio addition and as a heartfelt gift to my sibling. Little did I anticipate that this event would be pivotal in shaping my career trajectory. Amidst the hustle and bustle of capturing footage, I found myself thoroughly engrossed and immensely enjoying the process.
It was during this revelatory moment that I realized the potential for a career in videography. With newfound determination, I delved into the intricacies of both photography and videography, honing my skills and knowledge. Through perseverance and tenacity, I began reaching out to various clients, including realtors, businesses, and individuals, in pursuit of my first professional opportunity.
Reflecting on my journey, I now see a guiding hand at play, orchestrating each step of my evolution. It is evident to me now that every setback and triumph was part of a larger plan, guided by God.
Why JD Creates
It's simple, really. The reason behind my creative pursuits stems from my belief in the ultimate Creator, my father. While my earthly father is indeed a skilled contractor, I'm referring to the Creator of the universe, the Almighty God. He's the inspiration behind all my creative endeavors.
Photography and videography serve as my avenues to honor Him. I firmly believe that each of us possesses a spark of creativity, a gift bestowed upon us by the greatest Artist of all time. However, this belief doesn't make me judgmental or self-righteous. On the contrary, it compels me to extend love and respect to everyone, just as Jesus taught
